I was recently given the opportunity to become a contributing blogger for “Filming in Argentina,” (scroll down the page on this link to read the really nice bio the blog’s creator has written about me). “Filming in Argentina” is the most popular English language blog about Argentine Cinema on the web and I am pleased to report that my first blog post was a great success.

I wrote a very brief statistic blog about the BAFICI Festival which finished on Sunday 18th April 2010 in Buenos Aires. The blog post includes number crunching info about how many people attended the festival, how many films were shown and who walked home with the “Best of” Awards, etc.

Within 30 minutes of going live, the post got 8 hits and a special message was sent directly to the blog creator, Ginger Gentile, co-producer of San Telmo Productions film company, with whom I am now working. Indeed, by the end of the day, Ginger was pleased to let me know that the post ended up being one of the most popular ever on the site as a whole. Not bad going for my first post! It’s been a good day on the writing front.
