To see “El baile de la Victoria,” the most recent film directed by Fernando Trueba, may well make one think that this Spanish director has decided not to include the excessive sentimentalities that the novel by Antonio Skármeta proposes and that instead he gives he has decided to concentrate on creating a film full of exaggerated and unbelievable implausibility.
